Tour de MALT

July 23, 2016

Tour de MALT is a truly spectacular farm-to-farm bike ride through the West Marin countryside, much of it protected as farmland forever by MALT. Both the 40-mile and 60-mile rides begin at the MALT-protected Nicasio Valley Farms (routes and SAG stops subject to change; consult 2016 map the day of the ride).

Each route features tasty refueling stops, including wood-fired pizzas at Toluma Farms & Tomales Farmstead Creamery, and breakfast sandwiches at Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company. Celebrate your finish with a farm-to-table lunch featuring Stemple Creek Ranch burgers, Three Twins Ice Cream and more at Nicasio Valley Farms.

Event Details

Date: July 23, 2016

Time: Rider check-in begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 9 a.m. Riders may depart as soon as they check in. Please bring your completed Risk & Release Form to check-in.

Start, Finish & Lunch Location: Nicasio Valley Farms, 5300 Nicasio Valley Rd., Nicasio, CA (map)

Parking: Park in front of Nicasio Valley Farms (volunteers will be on hand to direct you to spaces) or drive to the overflow field farther north at 5400 Nicasio Valley Rd. Please carpool if possible.

Cost: $85 MALT members/$125 non-members (lunch included). A limited number of lunch-only tickets for non-riding supporters are available at $55; limit 2 tickets per registered rider.

What to Bring: Bike, helmet (required), water bottle (Extreme weather cancels—please call the event hotline, 415-663-1338 for announcements.)

Ride Distance and Elevation Gain: 40 miles/1,620 feet; or 60 miles/3,744 feet (map; subject to change)

Age Appropriate: 15 years and up

Rider Limit: 300
